BMW built its 2 millionth 1-Series model at the Regensburg plant in Germany, more than 10 years after the first 1-Series was produced in 2004.
The landmark car was made just a few days after the start of production for the facelifted 1-Series and is one of the first examples of the new BMW 1 Series range that will be exported to Asia.
Offered in both 5-door and 3-door body variants, the BMW 1-Series can be ordered with petrol and diesel engines featuring BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, including units with three and four cylinders from the BMW Group’s latest generation of engines and a six-cylinder in-line engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology. Engine output ranges from 109PS to 326PS.
BMW also offers the xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system as an option for the M135i, 118d and 120d. Other equipment highlights include the standard-fitted iDrive operating system and full-LED headlights as an added option.
