0Land Rover Defender Gets ‘Urban Trucks’ Treatment
Tuning outfit ‘Urban Trucks’ have introduced a special package for the Land Rover Defender. This includes some new parts for the exterior, including KBX front grille, light surrounds, hood vents, privacy glass, new paint schemes as well as LED headlights with dual daytime running lights mounted in the front bumper. Buyers will also have the chance to order 18 inch alloy wheels with special BF Goodrich wheels.
The interior is dressed in Nappa leather used for the Recaro Sportster CS Sport seats and comes with Alcantara and contrasting stitching. There is also new leather steering wheel and carpets. The updates include a subwoofer and an Alpine satellite navigation.
Urban Trucks also tuned the 2.2 liter turbodiesel engine, which now delivers 170 hp and 480 Nm from the standard 122 hp and 360 Nm. The upgrade was possible by installing an air filter kit, stainless steel sport exhaust system and an up-rated intercooler. This would be a good kit to come to Malaysia, since there is a big Defender following among urban consumers looking for that macho image on the road.
